You can be a scoreboard operator for the upcoming LMLL Spring and Summer Baseball/Softball Seasons!  LMLL is looking for Scoreboard Operators who are at least in the 7th grade or older.

Scoreboard Operators must be able to concentrate on the game, be accurate when operating the scoreboard remote and arrive promptly to your scheduled games. Scoreboard Operators will make $30 per game and can be scheduled based on your own availability.  All first time operators will be trained to use the scoreboard equipment and all the operators will have a meeting before the start of the season to review what their expectations are for the season.

This is a great opportunity for those looking for their first chance to work as well as any who love the game of baseball or softball and want to be involved and get paid for it at the same time.

REGISTERING

See below for details on how to register as a Scoreboard Operator, including what SE account to use.

REGISTRATION

Registration as a volunteer requires a number of steps (although after you've registered for your first role for a calendar year, you only need to do steps 1 and 2 for any subsequent registrations for that calendar year):

  1. Use the Correct SE Account.  All registrants 18 and over will need their own SE account (or a family account they are the owner of).  Only umpires, scorekeepers and others who are UNDER 18 may be registered by their parent using the parent's SE account.  If you are coaching your children but are not the owner of the SE account that the children were registered under, you can link your own account to your family's - see Adding Parents/Guardians.
  2. Register online for your desired LMLL role.  Use the link that was provided to you or shown on the website for the specific registration   Make sure you are logged into the proper account (see step 1 above) before starting to fill out the registration.
  3. Complete the 2026 LL Abuse Awareness Training course if you are 18 or older.  Little League now requires that all coaches, managers, umpires, scorekeepers and other volunteers must complete an online Abuse Awareness training course each year (the 2026 course is required even if you took the course for 2025).  To take the course, you must first have a Little League Training Portal account - if you don't already have one from last year, click here to create an account, and make sure to input your full legal first and last names and select "LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK LL" as Your Associated League.  Next, click this link for the 2026 Abuse Awareness Training Course (make sure to enroll in the correct course - NOT The Diamond Leader course), login using your LL Training Portal account, and complete the course (you may need to enroll in it first).  When you complete the course, you will receive a digital certificate with a certificate number, which will be available to you in the portal and should also be emailed to you - you will need the certificate number from the certificate to complete your LMLL registration below.
  4. (all ages) Complete the SEPARATE online LL Volunteer  Requirements registration.  (Unless you've already done so for the calendar year you are registering for)  When you complete your LMLL Role registration (step 2), you will receive a registration confirmation email which among other things will contain a link to register for the LL Volunteer Requirements registration.  This is to necessary to fulfill requirements of Little League International each year, but only needs to be done once for each calendar year even if you are registering for multiple roles.  Make sure to use the same SE account you used to complete the LMLL Role registration in step 2 above.  This registration will cover the following steps:
    1. If you are 18 or older, you will need to provide the certificate number from your Abuse Awareness Training Certificate you received in main step 3 above.
    2. Submit a copy of a government-issued photo ID (if required).  As part of the Volunteer LL Application registration, you will be required to submit a photo ID (only if you have not done so in a prior year, or if you submitted an incomplete Photo ID as a minor, or if your legal name has changed), so have it ready.  The photo ID must show a clear picture, full first and last name, and date of birth.  Minors who do not have a gov photo ID may instead use a copy of their school photo ID, which does not need to show date of birth.
    3. Complete the LL Volunteer Application form section.  If you are under 18, you will also need a parent to electronically sign the application with you.
    4. Complete the online Background Check authorization section  (if you are 18 or older ONLY).   You will need to provide your Social Security Number as part of this section.  (The Background Check authorization is built into the LL Volunteer Requirements registration this year, it is not a separate registration).  Registrants younger than 18 at the time of registration should NOT complete a background check.

Your registration is not complete, and you may not be considered for a role with LMLL, until all steps above have been completed.  Please note that registration confirmations you receive by email are only confirmations of receipt of your registrations.  The decision to accept your application and assign you to a team (for coaches/managers) or games (for umpires/scorers) is in LMLL's sole discretion.
