Playoffs are expected to start Tue 5/27 for BB Seniors, Wed 5/28 for SB Blue, Fri 5/30 for BB Majors, and Sat 5/31 for all other competitive Divisions.  All Spring Rec teams make the playoffs.

BB Seniors and SB Green, Blue and Majors will play double-elimination tournaments with a second finals game only if the winning bracket team loses the first finals; BB Green/Blue/Majors/Majors Plus will play single-elimination tournaments with a best-of-three finals series.  Go to Playoff brackets/schedules for scheduling information.

Once seedings are finalized in each Division (click HERE for an explanation of how seedings are determined, including adjustments to the standings displayed in SE), games will be posted on the schedule. 

Note that all dates/times/fields are subject to change, both before playoffs start and also because any disruption due to weather, darkness etc can have a ripple effect on the entire schedule.

Home/Away will be determined by seeding (better/lower-seeded team is Home) in all rounds except the finals (seeding is shown in the SE Tourney brackets, it's the number in [] before each team's entry).  In the finals of double-elimination tournaments, the winning bracket team will be home in the first finals game; in the first finals game of single-elimination tournaments, home/away will be determined the same way as seeding.  Home/Away will be reversed in any subsequent finals games. (Home/Away will not be displayed in the tournament brackets/game listings - coaches will be responsible for knowing which team is Home and Away for each game based on these rules.)

SportsEngine Tourney

Unfortunately, the main SportsEngine platform doesn’t have the ability to schedule playoffs the way we do, so we will instead be using SportsEngine Tourney for the playoffs.  All brackets, games and scores will be in SE Tourney (but NOT regular season record info).  Links will be included in this Playoffs news article on your team’s web/app page, but you can also follow your team(s) directly in the SE Tourney app using the directions below.

Note that SE Tourney does NOT generate automatic reminders about games or have RSVP functionality.  Instead, your coaches will create an event in SportsEngine for each playoff game your team has, so you can RSVP and get reminders about it.  But the scores and future schedule info will be in SE Tourney.

Subscribing to a team in the SE Tourney app:

1. From the Apple/Google app store, download the SportsEngine Tourney app (SE Tourney)
2. (If you don't open into the Find Tournaments) Click the More button (bottom right), go to Find Tournaments
3. Click on Search for an Event
4. In the filters at top, choose Baseball (NOT Softball, even if you are a softball team), New York, and May (or June) 2025
5. You should now be able to find LMLL Spring Rec Playoffs 2025 in the list – click on it
6. Now click on Find Your Team
7. Scroll through the list and click on your team (or just click the Follow icon to the right of it)
8. If you went to the team page, in the upper right corner, click on the Follow icon
9. You will now be able to easily access your team through the SE Tourney app!
10. To add another team, click the back button (top left), and repeat steps 6-8 above.

(NOTE – You can also subscribe for text and/or email Notifications from the LMLL Spring Rec Playoffs 2025 pages on the SE Tourney web site, but it is not clear what if any notifications will be triggered by that – as mentioned above we are instead relying on coaches scheduling events in SE for each playoff game.  Please DON’T check the Team Representative box unless you are a rostered coach.)
