LMLL Spring Rec standings for our competitive Divisions (Green and higher) are based on Winning Percentage (wins/games played, with a tie counting as 1/2 win - NOTE that SE calculates Winning Percentage differently, ignoring ties, so we will not be using it as our final primary measure).  However, during the season, standings will be displayed and ordered based on a "points" system (2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, -0.5 points for a loss), because that's the closest we could get in the SportsEngine system.  Generally these two rankings should be the same if teams have played the same number of games.

At the end of the season, the standings will be re-ordered (if needed) to reflect final Winning Percentages (including 1/2 ties), and the team(s) with the best Winning Percentage will be the Division (or the AL/NL conference, in the case of AL/NL divisions) regular season champion(s).  THE ACTUAL POINTS CALCULATION DOES NOT MATTER, ONLY WINNING PERCENTAGE AS FINALLY CALCULATED INCLUDING 1/2 TIES (and the tie-breakers below).

Playoff seedings will also be based on Winning Percentage, subject to the following tie-breakers (subject to change, so don't bet any money on them!):

1. Head-to-head record during the regular season.
2. If still tied, Winning Percentage during the regular season excluding ties (i.e. as shown in SE).
3. If still tied, highest winning percentage in-conference (AL/NL) during the regular season (for AL/NL divisions - including ties first, and then excluding ties if still tied).
4. If still tied, a coin flip at the end of the regular season and before the start of the playoffs.

These seedings also will determine Away/Home designation in all playoff rounds except the final round, when different rules will apply depending on the format: in single-elimination tournaments, the team with the better regular season Winning Percentage (including 1/2 ties; tie-breakers above apply, if needed) will be Home in the first finals game; in double-elimination tournaments, the team from the Winning Bracket will be Home in the first finals game.  Home/Away then switches in each subsequent finals game.
